Alannah has been working at Bannermans since April 2018. Alannah commenced at Bannermans in a legal administrative role while completing her university degrees. She has progressed over the course of her time with the firm and is admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of NSW.
Alannah works in both the Strata and Construction teams undertaking the following work:
Strata
- By-law drafting, consolidation and registration
- Reviewing and advising on by-laws
- By-law enforcement
- Advising as to strata issues including unauthorised works, repair and maintenance responsibilities and refusal of by-laws under the Strata Schemes Management Act 2015
- Assisting with the preparation of and advice as to amending building management agreements, strata management agreements and community management statements
- Assisting with the preparation for strata disputes in the NSW Civil and Administration Tribunal, NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal Appeal Panel and the Supreme Court of NSW
Building and Construction
- Advising on statutory warranty periods
- Assisting with the preparation for building and construction disputes in the NSW Civil and Administration Tribunal
- Assisting with advising on settlement deeds
- Briefing and engaging with technical building experts such as consultant specialists, surveyors and engineers
- Assisting with advising clients on damage from adjoining developments
Cost Assessment
- Assisting with the preparation of documents and files for cost assessment
- Assisting with settlement negotiations in relation to costs arising from strata disputes

- Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (2020)
- Bachelor of Laws with Honours (Macquarie University) 2020
- Bachelor of Arts (Macquarie University) 2020
- Member of the Law Society of NSW
- Member of the NSW Young Lawyers Society
