Paul O’Regan

Paul has been working at Bannermans since September 2024. Before joining Bannermans, Paul worked at a boutique law firm in Sydney CBD, initially as a paralegal and then as a lawyer, working on a large range of matters including:

  • Construction contract advice
  • Construction disputes including defect claims, breach of contract, SOPA claims
  • Commercial leasing
  • Employment including unfair dismissal, contract reviews and adverse action
  • Tax including CGT advice

Since joining Bannermans, Paul has undertaken the following work:

Building & Construction

  • Advising owners corporations on building defects, insurance claims, legal remedies, relevant limitations periods;
  • Assisting with acting for owners corporations in building defect claims in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Supreme Court of NSW;
  • Drafting applications for building defect claims in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Supreme Court of NSW;
  • Briefing and engaging with technical building experts such as consultant specialists, surveyors and engineers;
  • Drafting settlement deeds and agreements and advising on same; and
  • Assisting clients with contract negotiations, Fair Trading disputes and HBCF insurance claims.
