Natasha joined Bannermans Lawyers in January 2024. Prior to joining Bannermans, Natasha worked closely with Counsel and senior solicitors at a commercial law firm. She has brought valuable experience in superior court and appeal matters to our firm.
Natasha has notable experience in litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions, including the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, the Land and Environment Court of NSW, the District Court of NSW, the Supreme Court of NSW, the Court of Appeal of NSW.
Natasha is committed to delivering excellent services to our clients by prioritising ongoing education to stay up-to-date with legislative reforms, ensuring that complex legal issues are communicated in simple terms to clients, and allowing for the smooth navigation of matters. She enjoys the intellectual challenge of legal practice, and considers the profession to be one of the most rewarding. Her friendly nature and exemplary client management skills provide reassurance to clients during the highly stressful litigation process.
Since joining Bannermans, Natasha has undertaken the following work:
Strata Litigation
- Providing simple ongoing advice to individuals and owners corporations in complex strata disputes;
- Acting and appearing for both Applicants/Plaintiffs (in claims brought by them) and Respondents/Defendants (in proceedings brought against them) in Tribunal and Court proceedings;
- Drafting of pleadings (including but not limited to statements of claim, summons, defences) and drafting of court documents (including but not limited to affidavits and witness statements) across multiple jurisdictions;
- Preparing applications to commence proceedings, running day-to-day carriage of numerous strata matters and liaising with, and briefing of expert witnesses in proceedings;
- Drafting of deeds of settlement and release and consent orders, enabling the negotiation of mutually beneficial outcomes with opposing parties and successful settlement of matters; and
- Successfully securing Tribunal and Court orders in favour of our clients.
In addition to working on strata litigation matters within our firm, Natasha plays a key role in our costs assessment matters, preparing costs assessment applications, submissions, and objections.
Qualifications/Memberships
- Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics (majoring in Financial Economics) (with Distinction) (University of New South Wales) 2023;
- Diploma of Practical Legal Training (The College of Law) 2024;
- Admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales; and
- Member of the Law Society of New South Wales.
