Since joining Bannermans, Jerry has worked in the Strata team undertaking the following work:
Building and Construction
Advising owners corporations on building defects, insurance claims, legal remedies, limitation periods, and current issues such as combustible cladding and the Design and Building Practitioners Act (DBPA);
Running the day-to-day carriage of litigation matters from providing advice to the client, preparing letters of demand, preparing applications commencing proceedings
Assisting clients with contract negotiations,
Coordinating with technical experts, including consultants, surveyors, and engineers;
Assisting owners corporations with the enforcement and supervision of work orders and settlement agreements for rectification works;
Reviewing building contracts and advising owners corporations;
Drafting deeds of settlement and agreements.
